2026 Root-Seeking Summer Camp in China

The Alaska Chinese Association is excited to share about a special opportunity for Chinese youth: a 7–10 day cultural tour/summer camp in China designed to help participants deepen their connection to their heritage while exploring both traditional and modern aspects of Chinese culture.

Applicants must have Chinese heritage and be 12-18 years old at time of travel.

Program Background

The All-China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese (ACFROC) works with overseas organizations, like the Alaska Chinese Association (ACA), to offer cultural heritage summer camps for overseas youth. These summer camps teach youth about Chinese history, culture, and modern innovations. While ACA is not sponsoring this trip, ACA is facilitating the opportunity by helping plan the itinerary, providing information to participants, and screening applications.
